IMPORTANT U.S. GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN MESSAGE REGARDING GRAINGENES

During the U.S. government shutdown, GrainGenes will remain available, however it will NOT be updated. The personnel will not be able to respond to queries. The sites on the GrainGenes platform will remain open, but some links may be broken, or the site may become unavailable due to technical issues. 

 

We will resume our full services as soon as possible once funding for the U.S. government has been restored.

Quick Summary by GrainGenes: Jiang et al. (Jiang et al., Mol. Plant, 2025; corresponding authors: Ping Yang and Nils Stein) recently published a review paper on barley that summarizes decades of genetic research, highlights insights from genomic and pangenomic approaches and biotechnology tools, and discusses potential future research venues.

GrainGenes has been down for a while, and we realize the negative impact of this unavailability for your research. Thank you for reaching out to us while we were down. Thank you for your continuing support for GrainGenes.

We are still working on a long-term solution as to how we will serve the next version of GrainGenes. In the meantime, we have created a GrainGenes version from April 2025 on (unfortunately slower) machines so that you can have access to some of our data, tools, and services as soon as possible.
