RESULTS OF SPRING WHEAT VARIETIES GROWN IN COOPERATIVE PLOT AND NURSERY EXPERIMENTS IN 
 THE SPRING WHEAT REGION IN 1999
 
 The year 1999 was the 71st year in the history of the uniform regional testing program. 
 Data summarized in this report were obtained from (1) the uniform regional hard red 
 spring nursery, and (2) the uniform regional durum nursery.

 Hard Red Spring Wheat
 
 Ember - (SD3219) Awned, early-midseason maturity, medium height. Resistant to stem 
 rust, moderately resistant to leaf rust. Medium to low yielding and high test 
 weight. Low to medium protein. Released by South Dakota AES in 1999.
 
 Parshall - ND694) Awned, early-midseason maturity, tall. Resistant to stem rust, 
 moderately resistant to leaf rust. High yield and test weight. High protein 
 percent. Released by N.D. AES in 1999.
 
 Reeder - (ND695) Awned, midseason, medium height. Resistant to stem rust, moderately 
 resistant to leaf rust. High yield and test weight. Medium protein percent. 
 Released by N.D. AES in 1999.
 
 NorPro - (N93-0119) Awned, midseason, semidwarf. Resistant to stem rust, moderately 
 resistant to leaf rust. High yield, medium test weight. Medium protein 
 percent. Released by Agripro in 1999.
 
 McVey  - (MN93413) Awned, midseason-late maturity, medium height. Resistant to stem 
 rust, moderately resistant to leaf rust. High yield low test weight. Low 
 protein percent. Released by Minn. AES and USDA-ARS in 1999.
