Seven barley mutants (BlO-l-E, BlO-st-7, Bl1-l, Bl3-erect-1, Bl5-11, Bl6-27, and Bl6-1) induced through gamma irradiation (15 Kr) at low seed moisture levels are described here along with inheritance of mutant characters. Crosses were made between mutants and the mother variety 'Amber' which is a tall, awned, six-rowed, lax, and late cultivar. F2 data is presented in Table 1.
The results presented in the table show that mutant characters were recessive in all eases and showed a mongenic segregation of 3 : 1.
