IV.6 Coordinator's report: Trisomic and aneuploids.

T. Tsuchiya, Department of Agronomy, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado 80523, U.S.A.

The seed of the primary trisomic set in the wild stock, Hordeum spontaneum var. transcaspicum is not available, since the stocks have not been grown for some time now. Please don't request seed of the stock until announcement of availability is made in the future.

There is no addition of telotrisomics in the Stock Center.

Acrocentric chromosomes have been found in chromosome 3 and 4 (Tsuchiya, 1971, BGN 1: 58-60). Additional acrocentric chromosomes have been found in chromosomes 1, 4 and 5. These stocks are still in hybrid condition, and backcross with cultivar S.E. 16 is underway. These stocks will be useful in locating marker genes physically in particular chromosome arms.
