Eleven genes have been associated with six chromosomes and placed on the respective chromosome maps. Gymer (1975) claimed that he obtained "evidence" to disprove the arm location of the e gene on chromosome 2S. It seems, however, to be appropriate to wait to change the arm location of the e gene until more convincing evidence is obtained.
Jensen (1975) developed a new map of chromosome 5. It appears to be better to wait to change the gene arrangements until more data are available from detailed experiments using multiple marker stocks.
The following are the new genes associated with each chromosome, the parentheses indicate that these gene symbols have not been officially accepted.
