Two new genes have been located on chromosome 3 in 1972. One is rnt for reduced number of tiller and the other gs 2 for glossy sheath-2. Their genetic data are given in this volume by Nonaka and Konishi, respectively. The order of arrangement of six genes, inferred from the available data, are as follows:
