II.37. Continued linkage studies on eceriferum mutants in barley.

Ane Bodil Søgaard. Institute of Genetics, University of Copenhagen and Agricultural Research Department, Atomic Energy Commission, Research Establishment Risø, DK 4000 Roskilde, Denmark.

In continuation of the data given in Barley Genetics Newsletter, Volume 1 (p. 41) linkage data are presented from crosses between eceriferum genes with translocation breakage points (T) and marker genes. The segregation ratios are tested by X2, and recombination frequences are estimated by the maximum-likelihood method. Significance limits of 5% have been used for segregation ratios and limits of 10/00 for linkage. 0 indicates that no double recessive types were obtained in an F2 population.

By means of Shin Ebisu trisomic set is cer-c, cer-q, cer-u and cer-zh located to chromosome 4. Cer-zg is transferred from chromosome 5 to chromosome 4, because cer-zg has only shown linkage with marker-genes on chromosome 4. Tests have been carried out with markers on both chromosome 4 and chromosome 5.
