Entire collection of primary and other trisomics and other aneuploids were grown to increase the fresh seeds and for more detailed observation. The information obtained is useful for understanding the genetic architecture of barley chromosomes.

Detailed analysis is conducted in two major groups: (1) collection of trisomics and other aneuploids for chromosome 5; primary trisomic (Triplo 5); telotrisomic for the long arm (Triplo 5L) and the short arm of chromosome 5 (Triplo 5S); ditelotetrasomic for 5S (Ditelotetra 55S); tritelopentasomic for 5S (2n = 14 + 3 telo 5S); acrotrisomic 5S5L (Triplo 5S5L ); diacrotetrasomic 5S5L (diacrotetra 5S5L); and disomic siblings and (2) seven ditelotetrasomics: ditelotetra 1S, 2S, 3S, 4L (deficiency), 5S, 6S, and 7S.

Some results are being published in 1990 ASA Annual Meetings, San Antonio, Texas. Many trisomics are also being used for cytogenetic/ linkage studies in this laboratory. Some stocks have been distributed upon request for research and teaching purposes.
