The objective of this work is to study the genetic nature of the following three chlorina mutants:
CSU B1O-6 | Chlorina IV | |
CSU B11-2 | Chlorina 1-44-60 | |
CSU B11-7 | Demings Chlorina |
CSU B10-6 has a bright yellow character at the early seedling stage. Later the leaves change color to green from the leaf tip toward the base. CSU B11-2 and CSU B11-7 have similar characteristics with new leaf showing yellowish green, then quickly turn green.
The phenotypes of the F1 hybrids indicated that the CSU B11-6, CSU B11-2, and CSU B11-7 are not maternally inherited (Table 1).
