Inheritance:
Probably recessive to normal.
Description:
Semi-sterile heterozygotes indicating presence of translocation (14).
Relatively early maturing plants. Spike internodes about normal when the mutant is sown at normal plant density. Somewhat stronger than normal lax response when sown at low plant density (13, 16).
Origin of mutant:
1962 after resting Foma seed recurrently treated with ethylmethane- sulfonate and neutrons: 0.08-0.5% x 5-24 hours + 100-500rad.
