Inheritance:
Recessive to normal (14).
Description:
Spike internodes about 14% longer than normal.
Relatively early maturing, vigorous plants with intermedium spike-tops, short awns, some sterile florets and long grain (13).
Origin of mutant:
1958 after soaked Bonus seed treated with etyleneimine: 0.05% x 2 hours.
Mutational events: (3, 4)
lax-o79 and possibly lax-o88.
Mutant used for description and seed stock:
lax-o79 in Bonus.
