The autotetraploid barley stocks in the world collection are listed in Table 1. Also listed are characteristics of the autotetraploids and, where available, their parental diploids. The numbers given in Table 1 represent averages of from one to four years data. A number followed by the letter a represents four years data; followed by b, it represents three years data; followed by c, it represents two years data; and followed by d, it represents one years data.
Limited amounts of seed of the autotetraploid barleys are available upon request from H. Gaul, 5 Koln 30, Im Max-Planck-Institut, Koln-Vogelsang, West Germany.
