I.3 Call for Contributions to Barley Genetics Newsletter, Volume 2
Contributions for the next issue will be accepted anytime from now to the end of December 1971.
Rules for contributions to BGN are as follows:
1. The information in this Newsletter is of an informal nature to stimulate thought and to exchange ideas among barley geneticists. Before quoting any statement in the BGN, contact the contributor(s) involved, with the following exception decided at the Second International Barley Genetics Symposium at Washington State University, Pullman, July 1969 (Barley Genetics II:618-619).
"With regard to symbols and stock designations, the Newsletter (BGN) will be the authoritative publication. As a consequence thereof, parts of the Newsletter concerned with symbols, stock lists, and linkage maps may be cited without permission...."
2. Contributions should be written in English, double spaced, and should be brief.
3. No hand-written manuscript will be accepted.
4. A manuscript should be prepared on a separate sheet from correspondence regarding the article.
5. Each article should be prepared on a separate sheet.
6. Photographs and complicated diagrams cannot be accepted at this time.
7. Citations of recent publications are urgently solicited.
8. Except for possible minor editing, manuscripts will be published as received from contributors.
9. The manuscript should be prepared in the same way as published in BGN, Volume 1.

I. Foreword.
II. Special Notices.
III. Research notes from Cooperators.
IV. Genetic and cytological techniques.
V. Reports from coordinators - translocations, trisomics, autotetraploids,
inversions, and each linkage group.
VI. List of genetic stocks.
VII. Descriptions of genetic stocks in the Barley Genetic Stock Center
at Fort Collins, Colorado, and the revision of the description in Volume
1.
VIII. Miscellaneous.
IX. List of publications dealing with barley genetics.
X. Mailing list.
