Abstract
The fertility of F SUB 2 segregating population from the cross A31x1376 was studied and showed that the average rate of fructification was 42.16% in the segregating population consisting of 582 plants; the range of variation was 0-86.67%. Through the chi-square tests of fertility in the F SUB 2 segregating population, the proportion of complete sterile plants to fertile plants was coincided with 3:1, indicating that the photosensitive fertility might be controlled mainly by a pair of genes. Bulked DNA from the F SUB 2 segregating population was used for random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis. A total of 147 primers were used for the detection of polymorphism, 2 of which had polymorphic amplification products from the fertile and sterile populations. RAPD analysis of the parents and individuals of the F SUB 2 segregating population with one primer (S1106) identified the reliability of the polymorphic amplification product. It suggested that the amplified product was linked with the photoperiod-sensitive male sterile gene, and could be as a linked marker of wheat photoperiod-sensitive male sterile gene
