Abstract
The F2 and F3 generations of 3 crosses involving the exotic winter wheat cultivars Arkan, Blueboy II and Centurk were used to evaluate the inheritance of resistance to pathotype 121R 63-1 of brown rust (Puccinia recondita f.sp. tritici). For all crosses, namely UP 2338/Blueboy II, UP 2338/Centurk and WH 542/Arkan, the F2 and F3 generations segregated into 3 resistant:1 susceptible and 1 resistant:2 segregating:1 susceptible, respectively. All 3 cultivars had one dominant brown rust resistance gene, Lr24, against the pathotype 121R 63-1
