Comment
The locus responsible for the 'monstrosum spike' trait in rye was mapped by genotyping an F2 population with microsatellite markers. Both MRS and the 'monstrosum' trait are under the control of a recessive allele at a single locus (Dobrovolskaya et al. 2009).
