Comment	The 1D location for Ra1 listed above comes from Melz and Thiele (700), who cited Gulyaeva (9613) as the source of this information. Melz and Thiele (700) described a 'purple leaf base' phenotype where anthocyanin pigmentation extended to the leaf base as well as auricles. Purple leaf base was expressed only when pigmentation occurred in the coleoptiles. Hexaploid stocks: for review, see 1206.
