Remarks
Accessions were planted in one-row, meter-long plots with one replicate in each of the three seasons, and the inoculum contained a mixture of size U.S. races (MCCFC, QFCSC, QTHJC, RCRSC, RKQQC, and TPMKC). Followed procedure described by Olivera et al. (2012). A mixture of susceptible wheat cultivars were planted perpendicular to all entries as stem rust spreaders. The plants in spreader rows were articifially inoculated 2-3 times (one a week) starting at stem elongation stage. Infection response (pustule type and size) and disease severity (percentage of infected tissue) were generally scored at two different dates at the soft-dough stage.
