Remarks	Evaluators: D. Stuthman The Quaker Nursery was grown at Rosemont and conditions there appeared to be quite similar to those of St. Paul. Oats were planted and late and cold, dry conditions prevailed following planting. The oats at Rosemont had improved considerably because of the recent rains. Some crown rust and BYD were evident and crown rust will probably continue to increase and could cause damage on susceptible varieties. Later varieties seemed to have benefited more from the late rains and some should yield quite well if prolonged high temperatures do not occur. We recorded notes on tertiary kernels, straw strength, and general appearance. Notes would have been more reliable if the oats had been more mature.
