Remarks	Evaluators: F.L. Kolb Row_Spacing: 12 inches A wet spring delayed planting the nursery until mid April, which is later than normal for Iowa. High temperatures in late May accelerated plant growth which caused heading dates to be earlier than in 1997. High temperatures and humidity along with severe crown rust infections in June and July led to a reduction in yield and test weights. Bird damage also caused a random yield loss.
