Abstract
The genotypic and phenotypic coefficients of variation and correlation coefficients for 10 agronomic characters of 18 durum wheat ( Triticum durum ) genotypes were determined in a field experiment conducted in Maharashtra, India during 2000-02. The characters grain yield per plot, weight of grains per ear, 1000-grain weight and number of ears exhibited high genetic variation. Number of seeds ear and number of earhead showed positive and significant correlation, whereas number of days to 50% flowering and maturity recorded significant negative association with grain yield per plot both at the genotypic and phenotypic levels. Flag leaf area recorded significant positive genotypic correlation with grain yield per plot
