Abstract
Nordbec is an early-maturing, six-rowed, spring feed barley ( Hordeum vulgare ) cultivar developed by the Eastern Canada Barley Breeding Group, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. It has high yield, improved straw strength and resistance to powdery mildew ( Blumeria graminis f.sp. hordei [ Erysiphe graminis f.sp. hordei ]). Nordbec is suitable for production in northern Ontario
