Abstract
These proceedings contain 50 papers on various aspects of breeding wheat, triticale, rye, barley, oats and maize. Topics include: effect of yield components on seed yield of semidwarf winter wheat; genetic analysis of characters associated with grain quality in winter wheat; economic evaluation of winter wheat cultivation depending on the method of plant protection from diseases; variability of uptake and use efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus in spring wheat; effect of temperature on the germinability of cultivars of spring triticale seeds; usefulness of genetic markers for the identification of inbred lines and mapping of rye genome; resistance of native winter barley cultivars to diseases; response of oat cultivars to sprinkler irrigation and nitrogen fertilizer application; and the effect of sowing density on the grain yield of maize in different classes of earliness
