Remarks
This study extended the RFLP maps previously published by Devos, et.al. See GrainGenes Map_Data 'Rye, Ds2 x RxL10'. These maps include 69 RAPD and 12 isozyme markers. There are discrepancies between this and the previous Ds2 x RxL10 maps in the relative positions of some RFLP markers and assignment of loci near the centromeres on long or short chromosome arms.
Mapping was done on 99 F5 derivatives of the F2 plants from the original mapping population. MAPMAKER v.3.0b software was used for linkage analysis with default linkage criteria set to LOD 3.0 and a 50-cm distance.
